Intermittent limp mode with Atlas?

I guess I should figure this out eventually...

My JK goes into limp mode every now and then after extended driving in 4WD Low. I never have an issue in 2H or 4H. When I go into 2 Low sometimes I can drive 6 hours on a trail fine...but there have been several times where it goes into limp mode. Sometimes it will last a few mins then go back to normal. Other times I will shut down the engine for a few mins and it turns on fine?

Specs:

2015 JK with bone stock 3.6 and auto
Atlas 4.3 with JK install kit
I used the AEV procal to program for Atlas range, UD 60 5.38 and 40 tires.

Thanks in advance!

What does your temp look like when it goes into limp mode? 5.38s and 4.3 ratio in the case you gotta be running some high RPMs.

I have a similar problem with my '15 JKUR. I do not have an Atlas, just the stock 4:1 rubi t-case. I feel like it usually happens when I'm on an incline, go to give it some skinny pedal and there is nothing there, nada tostada, but a low RPM grown and zero power.

Last time I checked and all of my temps were within range. I've always chalked it up as having something to do with my supercharger and the tune. It is mighty inconvenient as well as utterly frustrating.

I have that too on a stock engine. Only in 4lo, started maybe a year ago. Every now and then only in 4LO it just groans sounds like it's constantly misfiring or something with no power or increasing RPM. Then come off gas and go again and it's good. No engine codes, seems mostly impossible to diagnose so hoping it just doesn't get worse and more frequent.

Sounds about right except mine doesn't start to go unless I hammer the skinny pedal (not usually safe to do when this happens) I hadn't thought about the 4lo thing, maybe next time I will try to switch out of 4lo if possible. It always seems to happen at the worst time, like right as I am going to bump it to get over cliffhanger
