Tire carriers that fit a 40x15.50x20

I’m looking to buy a evo or genright tire carrier or other brand that will fit a 40x15.50x20. Which one do you guys recommend?

Douche wheels? Lots of help there sport.

Jeeper52, I can tell you 38 x 15.5 on Slabs it fine on the TeraFlex carrier. Not sure GenRight will fit the width though. Had one of our local guys have to air down his 15.5s to close the carrier.

Good luck.

Poison Spyder

Tire mounted is a 40x13.5 but you could adjust for BS and width of the tire.

lmfao...Wayalife. What a toxic group of fat, old, insecure virgins and losers.

No way a 15.5" wide tire will fit on the GenRight. At least that's what I'm deriving from looking at the way a 12.5 sits on mine. I'll grab some measurements tomorrow though.

A 40" tire on a 20" wheel has the same amount of sidewall as a 37" tire on a 17" wheel. Just some food for thought...

Wow dude, chill a little. What's up with all the flaming today for anyone choosing to run a larger tire than what you think is the right thing to do?

Problem isn't the diameter man. Both the options he listed (Genright and EVO) will fit a 40.

The problem is the width. 15.5" is too dang wide.

Also, AEV is for dads and soccer moms

I’ve never understood people when they get all bent when it comes to stuff like this. Must be wayalifers on this page too. Can’t seem to get away from dick bags like the guy above. Must be a Jeep thing I guess. Called evo today and I think I’ll try their new hinge carrier. Once these wear out I’ll probably opt for the 13.50.

I'll be captain obvious here and state that either of the two you mentioned can be modified rather easily to fit anything you want. There's not really much to them. Just have to repaint or recoat when you're done with the mods.

had a 38x15" tire in a gen right carrier.
I bet if you keep it aired down a bit it would close with your tire.

Dirtman, could you add spacers where the tire carrier bolts to the body to space it out further? Anyone running the newer evo hinge carrier?

If you can fab then anything is possible. Building a spacer should not be that big a deal. You may also need to do some tweaking on the actual wheel mount too.

I had a 41.5" rocker with DV8 but went to 42" and no go. So sold it.

The 41.5" was very tight.
