Stability control light???

I just completed installing my suspension up grade.

Within 8-10 miles on test drive, my stability control light came on.

Iím assuming that itís because I didnít re-center my steering wheel.

I didnít do that because itís headed to the shop for complete alignment.

1)is my assumption safe/correct?

2) is there any real danger in driving a couple days with the light on, or should I crawl back under a center the wheel myself?

Thanks in advance.

Get under there and re center it. The jeep will think your in a slide and keep applying the brakes.

Yup, this is the issue. Your Jeep will compare the angle of the steering wheel to the wheel speed sensors and think that you are out of control.

Thatís what I thought.

Wheel centered.

Two engine restarts and 12 miles, light turned off.

Memo: center your steering wheel after any work that moves it off center.

Itís easy, so easy even I can do it.

Thanks guys.
