Spec stage 2+ clutch pics.

Some pictures of the Spec stage 2+ clutch. I installed it over the weekend along with my new transmission.

A big thanks to Poly performance for the great deal on the clutch and pilot bearing.

Another HUGE thanks to Todd at Jeep Speed Shop for setting me up an amazing deal on a trans with less than 2k miles on it.

Thanks to Greg (Puddlz) for bringing the trans down with him after he dropped his jeep off with Todd.

Last but not least, thanks to Rob (Ogie) and Brian (Chris Hansen) for helping with the install on Saturday.

Damn that clutch is pretty!
How's it feel? I hate the factory clutch...

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

The stock clutch is really a piece of garbage. I'm going to take some video of me using it as a tambourine...

The pedal feel is extremely light, it takes very little effort to depress. The Spec clutch grabs right at the top of the pedal. It is very easy to drive, but it will take a bit of getting used to because it grabs in a totally different place than the stock one did. I have about 125 miles on it. Break-in for it is 500 miles so you have to take it easy on it for a while.

Yeah, my original stock had on "ok" feel to it, but after putting in a new trans and new clutch (stock again ) it grabs right at the very top and i hate it. I'm too tall for that have to bend my leg in half to get a clean start

holy SHIT! i hope you're geared low!

i'm a fan of 6 pucks in my autox cars, but in a trail rig... man i dunno... I like the ability to ride my clutch when i have to...

is it a true 6 puck or is the other side a more typical clutch design?

31 jeeps in... still have issues

That's actually the reason I went with the 2+ instead of the 3+ like hitmoney has. This one has a decent amount of play in it.

This is the fly wheel side.

But like he said he went 2+...the 3+ is the crazy one.

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Minus the part about the tambourine, I can ditto this statement about my Centerforce CF2 clutch. I'm wishing it came with a new TOB... Good crap that one looks beefy!

I followed the break in rules to the letter and I'm happy with mine. But then I'd be happy with anything other than the shit clutch jeep put in there

For comparison, the stage 3 is a full on 6 puck clutch.

We actually joked about that as we were putting it in, how Lika would love it.

A stage 3 is a 6 puck and a 3+ is "carbon semi-metallic full faced material"

But once you get used to it, it is not that bad.

The fun part is when you drive RubiKong and then go BACK to the stock clutch.

I will probably go 2+ on mine when the time arrives.

Looks good, though the picture on the site for the spec 2+ looks different (full disc). I'm personally not a fan of puck clutches on street/daily driven vehicles. But hopefully you get some wear out of it, they grab hard!

My trans had been popping out of first gear for well over a year, 3 trips to two different dealers got me cannot duplicate each time...even tho there is a tsb on the fucking things popping out of gear. So it popped out on the way to work one day about 4k miles out of warranty and the whole trans became extremely hard to shift and it's cheaper to buy a used one than to try to get it fixed.

not really, it's the same... the application is different so it doesn't look exactly the same.

They are showing the fly wheel side..
