Project Decepticon - 07 Four door build

Acquired an 07 Wrangler unlimited X with only 17k miles on it. Plans are to take it to another level as a daily driver with changes to the following:

3.5 " lift
RIPP supercharger
New Axles underneath with ARB lockers
35s on 17" wheels
Front and Rear bumpers
Sliders
Fender Flares
Roll cage
Window mounted lights
Custom sound system.

Attached is a pick of the poor thing straight from the Dealer.

An AEV 3.5 inch lift with 7005 Pro comps and 35 by 12.5s should be a good base for it.

These should be on soon

Got quite a bit done to the rig and now have the lift and tires on it.

I have to say that I am EXTREMELY happy with the AEV lift. Handles amazing and I was able to install it by myself on a weekend.

Bumpers, new flares and rock rails are next...

Your jeep is starting to look really cool and that sounds like a pretty good plan really. Also those tires are just plain awesome.

Here are your pictures for those of us with normal computer screens:

So I had enough time yesterday to resize the pictures and put on the front and rear bumper. I have to say that I LOVE the Fab fours front. very solid and clean bumper. install was a breeze too!

The smittybilt rear bumper went on very easy too, I don't know about the finish quality as some of the powder coating is already coming off of the D- ring holders, but overall for the price it is one of the best looking rears to me.

Next step is some goodness from River Raider!!!

After some research on the various forums, I called Kenny and had him send me some flat flares, rock rails, rollcage, and complete skid plate system.

I was able to put the flares and rock rails on myself. The skids and the roll cage are set to go on in 4 weeks...

Does anyone know how to get the wheel well shrouds back in and to stay? I am about to cut them up and rivet them on, but didn't want to be so drastic if there was an easier way.

Thanks to all of you for the great feedback. It's a hell of a compliment, especially since the people replying have amazingly sick rigs themselves.

Hopefully by the end of the month I will have the River Raider roll cage installed. I completed the sound system, and will post pics. Nothing over the top to look at, but man does it sound amazing!

I would like to see pics when/if you put the wheel shrouds back in. I am ordering tube fenders all the way around soon and was also planning on leaving the shrouds in. Thanks.

I am going to paint the rear wheel wells black and put some undercoating on them like suggested. Heck the shroud doesn't cover much more than the sheet metal anyway.

On the front, I will be putting the shrouds back in and will put up pics when I get it cut up and done.

So I stripped off all the roll cage padding yesterday and dropped the rig off for a new roll cage to be put in!

Went with the River Raider cage. Should be done by December 15th.... Can't freaking wait!
