RH cage + $14 +a little time = doorless mirrors

So I finally decided to make some mirror mounts.
I didnt like any of the reloc kits except die tech and by the time you buy a spare pair of mirrors to use with them, the price is way too high.

So I was looking at the dash plates on my RH cage and those 2 little unused holes in them.

A quick trip to the local parts store yielded generic mirror heads for [email protected]

I pulled the front half of the cage apart (needed repainting anyway) and welded nuts inside those 2 holes.

welded together a couple bits of angle iron, drilled 2 mounting holes and 1 hole for the mirror mount
They are positioned pretty close to where they are with the doors on, just tucked in towards the Jeep a little more so they aren't tree/rock magnets.

I know the chrome has got to go, but I probably will change out the mirror heads eventually. These vibrate on the highway a bit. The mount is solid as a rock, but the adjustable mount on the mirror itself shakes.

that looks clean. the only thing i think you cold do to make it a little better is make fold in that way if do cut it close to a rock or tree you could fold it in and keep it from hittting the mirror. other than that it looks awesome
