Went here and there is no service manual for the 08. I know that this is an old thread but does anybody know if the 07 service manual is close to or the same for the 08? Thanks.

I've owned an 07 and my current 08 JK and I can't think of anything that would be different in the manual. So you should be fine with the 07 manual.

08 2Door Red Rubicon. Rock Krawler 5.5 Longarm Coilover, Polly rear Coilovers. AEV hood & wheels, 37"KM2s, JE Reel 1350 shafts, 5.38 Yukon gears, Superior axles, Shrockworks stubby, Fab Fours rear, sPod, Rebel Offroad brakes, Warn winch and lots more.

Google "techauthority" and follow the link to Mopar's Tech Authority website. The bad news, the factory manual is on CD and costs $200! It used to be $125, which was bad enough, it gets worse when you try to use it. Some of THE WORST tech writing I've ever seen. It's about as good as it's going to be for awhile until someone like Haynes sees a market and does their own.

There are some Ebay vendors selling something in PDF format for $5 or so that are probably worth checking out.

You can mount it with Daemon Tools Lite (free) or burn it to a CD, or open it in something like WinRar...

Yes, the manual is computer based.
You have to look at it with a browser.
In the "folder" you have an "index.html" or something.
Open it in your browser.
You must copy the content of the ISO to your computer first.
You also need the Adobe SVG viewer (free on adobe's website).

Once you open the index in your browser it looks like nothing happened, but look in the upper right corner, I think you can select your language there.
Once the language is selected you will see the menu appear.
Then browse to the interesting section...

10-4.
