E-rod

I've always been a Bowtie kinda guy at heart but as we all know gm has nothing on the Jeep's out of the box capabilities. With the advent of the new E-rod LS3 that got my wheels turning. I know it's been out for a while but haven't heard anyone on the forums talk about it. Aside from cost the prospects look interesting. Don't know what the cost comparison would look like compared with a new Hemi ect but I'm kinda excited. Throw in a 4L80E and see where our Rubicon's can really go! I have an inquiry in with GMPP so we'll see...

LS in a Jeep

In California we can put any make engine in a Jeep or what ever, But it has to be the same year or newer and light duty truck.
So a better engine is a 6.2L and a 6L80 trans out of a truck 4X4
.
Thanks Todd

The sales pitch of the eRod is to have a 50 state smog legal engine dropped into any vehicle. Thats why the eRod comes with cats and a stand alone engine management system.

And when will you be making it possible?

I know you're working on it but when do you think a kit will be available.

I think it was with a catch & that was only when being used as a replacement for OBD I systems.

I dont think its smog legal for replacement on OBD II equipped vehicles.

I think todd has the right idea. 6L80E
However Im confused how he is going to fit a GM tank in the Jeep.
That seems to be the catch as of january 1st 2010. It is considered part of the emissions system, our local ref would tell us to pound sand.
