Vendors:

sPod: Props to guys at sPod. Customize their switch panel with a 200psi gauge (for the Viair Ultra is a 200psi system) and shipped same day, expedited at no charge.

The guys a Poly Performance made it easy to source the front axel upgrades. Many questions, many detailed answers.

We ordered most of these parts through Quadratec. They handled the order processing for a large order well. Most of their stuff is in transit. I'll post updates when we receive the shipments.

Nemesis: Jarrett recommend their Fenders initially. HD Customs has a working relationship with Nemesis. I had seen the fenders earlier and thought they they looked cool and liked the idea aluminum parts for weight savings. We also opted in on their Billy Rockers (rock sliders). Nemesis stepped up with some custom logo fabrication. This JK will be used for shuttling customers, advertising, and product testing.

I am curious how far over 5k you went as it only got me front bumper winch and rear bumper and a but load of goods from poison spyder. Now I have to save for the lift tires and axles beefing.

I agree... Sounds like a good build, but we need to stay away from this whole "Project JK" thing.

Yeah, I agree. Kinda lame. Couldn't come up with a more creative title...

Yeah, they said excess savings is a drag on the economy. Not sure, but what the heck. I did get some really good pricing from Quadratec on the bulk buy. Started getting their shipments today, minor mixed bag: missing one $30 item that was on their packing list. We'll see how they handle it. Also, all of the parts they were drop shipping from other warehouses (AEV, Goodyear, and Viair) haven't arrived yet. The suspension is the key component right now. Need to get it in asap as Jarrett is going to break in the gears. The sooner it gets rolling, the easier to get in the break-in mileage.

Can't wait to see the Notorious Flares and Billy Rockers installed. Rob and the Nemesis team are waterjetting in the Gizmobies logo and Jarrett is doing some cool stuff to set it off from the Jeep (black cut-out over black paint wouldn't really standout).

Decided to go with the Viking Winch line because they offered the safety thimbles. (The also had black line and black safety thimbles ). Great service from Thor at Viking. They shipped within 2 hours of placing the order.

Decided to go with 80' of 3/8" front and rear in addition to a single 50' extension. Figured when I need a long pull I can use the extension, and with the 80' I would get better pulling force due to narrower wound radius of the spooled line. Is this a good setup? Anyone with direct experience with this line type of line configuration. Work well?

JP

Thanks 4^3: JKO was the best research resource. Learned a ton here from searching posts and replies to my questions. The build list was 75% complete and HD Customs with their experience completed and tweaked it.

I really liked that the vendors were active (and I got great advice from them), but more importantly that there was no sensorship. I'd kinda come to the forum wars late, but really came to understand the value of JKO quickly.

I think they should charge more for the Red Star

Nah.

But, it has been a really good value with Vendor discounts from HD Customs, sPod (discount and upgraded shipping), and Nemesis...

Yeah, probably should have...one of the details that slipped by. Had read some conflicting reviews about some of the availabe covers and never finished the research.

Am going with a rear diff skid plate. This one from AEV. Think I left it off of the original post build list. Quadratec thought they couldn't source it originally and said it was a cancelled item. Went later and found it on AEV's site and bought it direct.

Anyone use this part?

The other day I was trying to explain to my daughter the difference between a couple; a few; and many. I don't think she totally got it...and on this JK we ended up not within a multiple of the first two of those...

In all seriousness, I decided to stretch because I was taking my Jeep 1k mis and was having a good crew work on it. I wasn't going to be able to piece it together between 2k mi commutes, so I stretched...

(Think I just lost a seam).

This is how to build a Jeep. Over the last two years of developing products we have been lucky enough to work on some top notch builds, and this one is definitily up there with the best. Here is a pic of the custom Titan Tub Armor.

The reason I ask is because my Red Rock rear bumper has the fairlead hole but I never got a winch plate from Red Rock before they shut down. It looks like I might be able to use the HD Customs plate with my Red Rock Bumper.
