My Poison Spyder BFH install

Took a trip up to Gioll's place today to install my new BFH bumper. He did all of the cutting and grinding - I couldn't have done it without his help.

Now the fun part - pics:

Crash bar removed:

Crash bar, which was already beat up pretty bad, and various instruments of destruction:

Gioll grinding out the welds from the crash bar:

Crash bar completely cut off, 2" cut off the frame, welds ground down, painted and ready for the bumper to go on:

Installed with the winch plate, winch, and new Poison Spyder Fairlead:

A couple of side shots:

are on me at the Tata run Gioll - thanks again for the use of your home, tools, and skills!!

JD

Can you see the stinger from inside the cab? Looks kinda low. I would end up running that thing into someones tail end trying to park. It does look good though.

Frankie, here's a shot from the driver's seat. I'm 6'3", have the seat adjusted all the way down and all the way back, and I sit pretty upright (one or two clicks back from vertical). I just sent my son out to sit in it (he's 5'8"), and with the seat in the above position, he can see it also.

Thanks T - get some shots of yours up!

Better yet, come out to Rausch for the Tata Run so I can see it in person! We'll trade install stories over some .

Looks killer JD! Let's see some wider shots of the whole rig, it looks pretty badass from the install photos.

Thanks Mike for posting up the comparison to show the difference between the trail and comp from the driver's seat. We get that question sometimes, I'll refer customers to this thread

Looks great Red Rock! One of my most memorable JK mods to date was taking the sawzall to my frame rails!

Isnt that the idea , looks good ,like the cut on the fenders. Big fan of grinders and sawzaws myself. Nice build.

Thanks for all of the compliments - the bumper looks awesome, and as seen in Goody's pic, offers extreme clearance!

Dusty, since you asked, I could be persuaded to throw up a few pics - which angle would you like, how about a walkaround? Not that I crave attention. Sorry about the poser shots - I'll have some action shots after the weekend of August 14th - Topless for Tata's!!

She's coming along nicely (in my not so humble opinion) A kingpin 60 front, 14 bolt rear and the Rock Krawler X Factor 3.5" long arm are next on the list - hopefully by this fall, depending on when Kenny gets a chance to work on her.

The only other things that I'm missing right now are a nice set of Poison Spyder 2 door crusher corners with the cut outs for brake and back up lights! Sorry Dusty, I couldn't resist.

Looks sick JD. Cant wait to see it at the topless ride. I LOVE my front stinger. Is that the expedition one rear bumper?

Thanks!

The rear bumper is the HD Customs Switchblade Sport, which is just as awesome as my Poison Spyder front , and as a bonus, it holds a 37" Nitto Mud Grappler nice and rattle free, and opens with the tailgate.

Hey quick question about this. I have a BFH ordered but I want to put a winch on it when I get home. Do I need a winch mounting plate for this or will it bolt straight to the bumper? I know I will nee a mounting bracket to set the fair lead to but I was unsure about the winch.

Nope no plate needed. Just the fairlead mounting bracket like you mentioned.
