3rd brake light

Since it's going to be raining for the next 6 or 8 days in the Houston area, I can't ride my dirt bike or go wheeling I've been looking for something to do on my spare time so I don't have to do laundry with the wife so I think I want to install the 3rd brake light on my JK, I have had installed a smittybilt rear bumper and tire carrier about a year ago, so I took off the 3rd brake light, I've seen quite few JK's with tire carriers and they have 3rd brake lights intalled, here'a the question, what do I need to do this on my JK? can the OEM 3rd brake light be modified and installed to work with the smittybilt tire carrier? If anybody has this done on their rigs can help me out on what do I need to do to make this work?

I installed a smitty built XRC rear bumper and tire carrier. It came with a bracket to modify the existing location of the third brake light. I did not like that so I searched around and found that Delta Lights makes a kit that comes with two LED lights that go into the two holes on the spare that do not have lug nuts in them. It plugs into the existing harness and looks really cool without having that huge third brake light hanging over your tire blocking the rear view mirror. You can order it direct for Delta or 4 Wheel Parts can get it for your (but you better give them the part number off of the Delta web site).
