I'm sure it can be done. Just tape and mark your cut line. If you cut through the tape, it will minimize the amount of chipping you may get. You will still have to use door edge trim to clean it up. I found a company that makes door edge trim that is color matched, but I can't find the web site now.

I'm planning on doing mine when it cools off, but I'm not going to leave them painted. I'm planning on putting on the door edging, then rattlecan bedlining the entire thing (including the edging). Hopefully I can get it done next week. I can't spray the liner until it cools off and the humidity dies down.

edit: just saw the color of your Jeep. I think the black edge along your painted fender would look great!

Google it. You'll find more results for chopped fender threads...be it here, or one of those other forums. Guys have done it with the Sahara fenders, it's not really any different. Still just hacking away the unwanted bits.

Can't figure out why they look so wide in that last pic. Must be the angle.

Here's mine. I got impatient and probably could've done better if I took more time.

I have ripped the rear off. Bought a few clips and put it back on. I am happy about that part of this. Metal ones would've done more damage I think.....
