Is my JK the only one....

....that is eating power steering pumps? I'm only running 35s now and was really considering moving up to 37s but I can't take my heep off pavement without burning up another pump. Anybody else running smaller tires burning pumps up??

I'm on #2 with only 13,500 miles and 35's. You can look into a re-build that upgrades a couple components. West Texas Off-Road or PSC Motorsports both do this.

Poly Performance - Dynatrac - Currie - Goodyear - Poison Spyder - Warn - PSC - AEV - Reid Racing - Off-Road Evolution - Flowmaster - Delta - Riddler - Micky Thompson - Daystar - Skid Row - Uniden - Rebel Offroad - Firestik - Warrior Products - Viair - HiLift - ARB - Kicker - Infinity

15,000 miles, I've been on 35s for 12,000 of them. Haven't had any power steering issues, daily driving on it, rock crawling pretty hard on it multiple times a month...

Well at least I'm not the only one.. Luckily mine isn't a daily driver and only has about 10K miles on it. I'm sure the dealer is going to be happy to see me again.. BTW this will be my 4th pump now!

Yikes! I'd be PISSED. Make sure they are flushing the rest of the system, i'd push for a new steering box too with all the shit that has probably been sent through your whole system by now

I would make them fix the underlying cause. Somtimes you have to get a little nasty with them to get them motivated to stand by their product.

My was leaking after 1000 miles, with no lift on at all! Dealer replaced the pump last week, so far no leaks.

2010 JK Islander, everything stock for now!
