Stupid front upper shock bolts...

Seriously chrysler? The upper shock mounts are such a bitch! And to add on top of it, I snapped the studs on both sides. I guess Im not using the shock extension in the BB kit I was installing, lol. Hmmm what shocks to order now.

Anyone else have problems with the front shock uppers? I had this same problem with my TJ a few years ago. I ended up cutting the stock shocks on that one.

Were the shock bolts rusty or something? The design is definitely lacking. I believe there are conversions available to transfer to a bar style shock on top, not sure who makes them though. I am sure someone will chime in. I know there are bar pin elimanators for the rear also to get rid of the H shaped top part that breaks easily.

Edit: Here ya go:

yea they were definately pretty rusty, and seized up. I sprayed them a few times but still no luck. The thing that kills me is that they both broke with only a few turn left on the nuts..., lol.

BTW thanks for the link Im gonna look into those brackets.
