Hey folks, I'm in need of some specs on AEV/Bilstein shock length. I asked AEV, and here was their response:
Thank you for contacting AEV. These shocks are designed specifically for our 3.5/4.5 suspension kits, and unfortunately the exact dimensions and specifications are not advertised or available.

Anyway, does anyone know compressed and extended lengths on AEV's 5100s?

I expect that they have the same collapsed and extended lengths as the appropriate standard 5100s but are vavled/tuned for AEV. Can't say for sure though.
If that is the case,
Front: 16.41" and 27.56"
Rear: 16.96" and 27.36"
If they do have custom lengths, those measurements are useless.

They would deserve it. Shock length is not something that should be proprietary.

If worse comes to worse, I'll pull them off the Jeep when I get it back from the shop and measure them myself. Maybe then I'll post a thread here with the title "SECRET PROPRIETARY TECHNICAL SPECS AEV DOESNT WANT YOU TO KNOW!"
