mystery button: what is it for?

My girl and I just bought an unlimited sport (2014) and whomever ordered it got a lot of extras on it that the manual doesn't cover. The carpet is purposely forming a hole at the passenger side tranny tunnel, and a white push button is located there. Appears to be a momentary switch. At first I was thinking that it was the switch for the locked in park get out switch, but that is supposedly located under the small tab on the shifter housing deck. I know that the car came with a 44 rear axle, is this maybe a locker switch?? I have no Rubicon literature to see where they put this locker switch. Any wisdom would help, Thank you.

You ever thought about crawling under the Jeep and seeing if there are some wires? Maybe follow the wires and see if they go somewhere.

The Rubicon Factory Locker switches are located on the Dash board between the steering wheel and the door. On the Jks up until 2011 they were located on the dash on a panel located below the heater controls that is not a factory locker switch. Take picks I would love to see what it looks like. I have a very loaded out 2014 Rubicon and have no WHITE switches in my vehicle.

It's not factory, and you wouldn't want a momentary switch on a locker (I sure wouldn't!)

You'll have to trace it... may not go to anything anymore.

I would guess the previous owner had wired in an ESP kill switch as stated earlier. If you push it do the ESP and BAS lights come on?
