Just another JKU on 42s and Wontons

First post here and need a little advise!

So about the build. Started with a 2010 JKU sport with a budget boost, 35s and bumpers. Boy oh boy has it changed over the last year and a half!

Current build list

RK 3.5 x factor with a budget boost on top. Soon to be Coils and linked front and rear.

42" MTRs mounted on a Fuel Anza beadlocks

Balljoint Dana 60 and sterling 10.5. Currie unit bearings, 35 spline outers and the rest is mostly stock and waiting for ARBs and 5.38s. PSC hydro assist and steering box built by WTO. Custom Tie rod and Draglink.

JCR offroad bumpers front and rear, Ace sliders, fenderless for the time being untill one of you help me decide on rear corners to chop up for a comp cut.

Sponsoredby OLB lights and yes i know i have a ton of them....

I also work at a wrap shop so the color is always changing!!

The questions i really have are for those few who comp cut the rear end did you add any rear support or just slap the corners right on. im leaning towards or-fab with the tub rails just wish somebody had an options to not have the fill hole for the gas cut out. any help on that would be much appreciated!!

I didn't like any of the armor out there either and none of it would look right with the cut I wanted. Below is what I did. Turned out perfect. Another option if you want to spend the money, is River Raider. They will make it anyway you want. Next option would be to buy the AEV builder corners, cut off right after the corner and weld flat sheet to it cut however you want (that is exactly what PSC does for the Crusher corners... They weld the side to an AEV corner).

Really though, welding in the gas tank hole is about as easy as it gets. You can suck at welding. Just get good penetration from both sides and grind it flat. You'd never know it was there. Would take maybe 20 minutes.

I reinforced the body on mine, but I over build everything. And for other reasons, I needed the body strength in the rear for other stuff.

Just starting looking closer at this pic from RK. Doesn't appear to be a full comp cut but I really like what they've done.

yeah ive seen that pic, they basically just stretched the wheel well back some. i like it on that but not the look in going for. i want to run flat in the back with no fenders and i think that would look weird with no tube fenders at all.
