Question Junkyard axle tech help

OK so yesterday I started looking at what the heck I am going to be doing on the D60 front. It is a 1985/86 Ford Dana 60 Kingpin front. I only have the inner c's so need to do from the kingpin out. I want to go with the Reid knuckles, or other high steers if someone recommends another. I have hit a wall and need assistance from the people who have done this. I have the ford knuckle with the Ford spindle, but for the life of me cannot find a Ford wheel hub to work with them. Is everyone else having this issue? I didn’t think I would. My second option is to run GM/Dodge knuckles and out. I have the gm/dodge spindle, gm/dodge wheel hub. Please help and advise what you did. Pictures links... I have been searching for a solid day and am stumped.

P.S. I am learning as I go and thought I would be ok with unit bearings but immediately corrected my mistake.

Throw a pic up of what you have. The spindles are easy to find. Go on Pirate 4x4 there are usually some for sale.

You do not need new knuckles to run a high steer kit. However. If you do run a true High steer you will be notching out the frame on the passenger side.

There are lots of us on here that have done this swap. However it is not as easy as it looks and plan on it taking a while to finish.

Solid also make knuckles.

Time is what I have! I pick the axle up this weekend so I have nothing as of yet. I can get the Solid Knuckles instead of the Reid and save a few pennies, and the spindles I was going to go with either G2 or Yukon. I just dont understand why i cannot find Ford wheel hubs. even when you search for them you STILL come up with the GM/Dodge ones.

thank you! that helps a lot!!! what about spindles and wheel hubs attached to the stock knuckles? Also how do you feel about the grizzly up front? I am still debating on that. what are the benefits/draw backs of it?

you can reinforce the knuckles using several different kits. I gave it a go and for 75.00 I will continue to use the stocks. I did not want to pay the 500 for knuckles if I don't have to. So far they have held up great!!

I might have to do that and get a complete axle. I held off on buying the d60 i was going to just because i am having so many issues piecing together the knuckles, spindles and hubs for the ford d60 kingpin....

A couple questions for you! I will probably have more! The master cylinder that you posted. this is stock? did you have to replace it because yours was bad? why change to this one.

Ballistic highsteer kit. Which package did you get? I am not running hydro as of yet so i dont need both high steer arms.

calipers and rotors for the front, did you convert to the 3/4 brakes? I would think having the larger stock brakes would be better, but see that shedding a few pounds will help.
