LCA bolts for EVO Rockstars

I'm wrapping up an install of EVO rockstars and a set of rear axles. My LCA bolts were upgraded already to the 9/16 grade 8 bolts in the Northridge kit.

The rockstars are wider and the bolt is too short if I want to keep the extra thick washers and I cannot find any longer bolts locally.

Anyone just install the LCA bolts without the flat washers? I am wondering if the bolts will work themselves loose more easily without he washers.

It's harder to get proper torque without the washers. I would not do it. If you have a Tractor Supply Company near you the should have Grade 8 fine thread bolts. Most tractor supply stores stock them from my experience. Take your nut with you to make sure the threads are the same or buy new nuts.

LCA bolts for EVO Rockstars

Just put the stock bolts back in ?

my tractor supply does not carry 9/16 or 14 mm over like 2 inches.
I am running the TeraFlex track bar bracket. Ordered a 14 mm grade 8eight 5" Long bolt to clear the bracket arm

I did a little more searching/reading and yeah, what you are saying about torque is correct because the nut/bolt moves more easily with the washer there.

HA! putting the stock ones back in did occur to me because I think they are a flange type nut and bolt. If I still have them then they are already up in the hot-ass attic right now.

I Looked online but could not seem to find bolts longer than I already had.

Where did you order your bolt from?

Yeah, i'm there all the time for grade 8'stuff.,I have an ace close by that is well stocked in with bolts. The longest they have is what I already have, though. They were the first place that intrude. I may try OSH later today.

If you can't find them at OSH, go to your local Fastenal. There is one in Dublin and another in Livermore, very close to 580.

If they don't have them in stock, they'll order them for you.

I went with a 14mmx1.5x120mm bolt and it worked perfectly with washers.

Ace is the only hardware store worth a shit these days. Just ask them to order what you need. I worked at Ace in high school and we used to get shipments twice a week. You can order just about everything under the sun from ace and have it in 2 days. Hell, a new ace just opened down the street from me and i get them to stock something new just about everytime im in there I was shocked they had ZERO 9/16 grade 8 hardware in their new fancy hardware section. I made it known that they should hook it up and BLAMO...9/16 grade 8 from 1" to 5" on the 1/2" next time i go in there.

Its not a fashion show

Hmm I have a ACE right next to me. I've been there but not for bolts.

Thanks again, gents!

Yes, Ace is awesome. I have one right here and they are the first place that I tried. They only had what I already have in terms of bolt length. Otherwise, I know their grade 8 bins well.

I ended up going to the Dublin Fastenal and they also had the same size. Just ordered them there.

Complete rip off on the shipping, though. Ships on their regular stock orders from Modesto and they honked me $7 shipping for the two bolts anyway.
