HELL YA! Its getting a HEMI!

Soooo, a few weeks ago i blew my hampster powered jk up. Had been wanting to do a Hemi swap (just like every other JK owner out there) just not this soon.
Because I am in the middle of a buildup of a 91 cherokee buggy Here...http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=838457...

I am going to post my build/conversion on my JK in hopes that some of you will catch me before i make a mistake.
I found a commander 5.7L with only 22000 km's on it and snaped it up.

I have not purchased a kit as of yet, I am still mulling over which one. the AEV kit looks awesome and very complete,
but the Burnsville kit has a 'upgraded' program for more ponies..........Dilemma!
I have not heard anything bad about either one of the kits.

Any thoughts/experiances?

I think the AEV kit is cleaner, but the exhaust from burnsville is cleaner.

Damn screw the Hemi thread!
That XJ build is SICK!

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Hemi

Go with aev since u have a 5.7... The exhaust system is more compatible for a 5.7L hemi.. If you had a 6.1L then Burnsville. There both good kits but to me, it depends on what engine u go with.. Although I like how Burnsville mounts the engine a little low back into the jeep.. But that's no biggy..

Truck Hemi in a Jeep

I would use the AEV kit because they are working on using a stock Cal. and a go between and we are working on that also.
That means no funky computers and no secret stuff all stock.
Or you can buy each part and do it your self
Thanks Todd

Todd, what do you mean "stock Cal. and a go between " ? I understand AEV sends you a new computer with the re-programming already in it.
or am i misinformed?

Truck Hemi in a Jeep

Well the computer that you get from any one is a mess but it works, we all have the same problem with the computers because inside the computer we are running is a Grand Cherokee computer with 3.8L stuff inside to make the Jeep work right, like the dash, brakes, etc.
Well the go between is a way that we are working on so the engine will run a stock cal and the Jeep won't no because of the box we are making and i think AEV is making will change the info to the body of the Jeep.
So on all of are conversions we are putting a plug in the wiring to put the box in and i think AEV is doing the same.
Thanks Todd
