Bedlining grille question...

I am going to bedline my grille. should I take the "Jeep" off of the front to do it? I want to bedline it too. will it stick to the logo?

it will stick to the logo, but...

the problem i am seeing now is that the bedliner doesnt stick to the grill in the little holes of the "eep". cause there is no real good way to clean and sand in those crevice.

the above is most likely irrelevant.

There's a thread on here called "Black Grills" with lots of options, including mine

Just when they think they have all the answers, I go and change the question.

I used the dull side of a pocket knife to start them and then just pried and sliced at the adhesive. It came off with minimal residue. I used a scotch brite pad on the whole grille before I painted it. Extra care where the letters were and around the light cutouts.

The jeep is still in my center console. I prefer it without, actually.

The whole job took about 1.5 cans of Duplicolor.

get a 3M maroon scotch brite pad from most auto parts stores right next to sandpaper, you will be able to scuff the entire grille and inside the letter with it. Its also 50 times faster to sand with then the paper.

Just pull em off, sand and paint separately then stick em back on. You'll be happier with the results. The paint will build up in the little holes and corners of the letters and it'll look like ass.
