Driveline Vibrations-Diff Yoke

Well I've been noticing some vibrations up front now that I've been driving more and getting up a little faster. All is good with the front d/s out but it's a pretty bad droning with it in. The steering wheel doesn't vibrate anymore since I pulled my caster angle back to about 3-4 degrees (pretty touchy though) and I took my d/s back in to get checked again. It's bang on and within 8 thousandths of being true.

Thought I'd check my diff yoke again and runout is really close but I noticed the centering tabs are different sizes. Measured from the center of the pinion to the inside of the tab is almost 1/10" different. Gonna get a new one hopefully tomorrow and see if that makes any difference. Anyone else ever notice this before?

Well that's the end of my driveline vibrations. Got a new yoke and ran up to 85 mph for about 5 miles with no signs. I can't believe it was something so easy.

It was causing a low drone that felt like it was coming from the rear end or transfer case when it was actually coming from the front diff yoke. It was an NP yoke so I'm surprised it could be so off. Hopefully this will help someone else with their problem.

It's a New Process Yoke (NP).

I've got my caster angle back to 5 degrees now with no vibration. That was a hard one to find for sure, gets frustrating when you keep finding problems but no solutions. Stubbornness finally paid off!
