Icon coils?

Does anyone have a good review on the ICON coils? I like to hit the rocks and the whoops. In so cal we have both...

I was originally thinking coilovers (EVO DTD) but decided its just too much...

I read this article, donahoe seemed on top and is now ICON.

http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/su...spension-test/

So right now the plan is synergy coils or ICON coils with some king shocks.

I know synergy kicks ass in the rocks but how about whoops, high speed and on road?

Thanks...

P.S. I currently run AEV 4.5in lift but think I can get more out of something else.

That article is from 07 when the JK's first came out. A whole lot has changed since then. I actually doubt that you could buy any of the exact same kits used in that article new today.

The feel from each coil will vary depending on how much weight you have on your jeep and what shock you are running. The question of what coil/shock combo should you run for use similar to yours has been asked on here before and discussed in great length. Do some googling and you may be surprised what you find.

Shocks are going to have more to do with the whoops then coils are. Coils are there to hold up the weight of the Jeep. Just buying King shocks is not going to do it for you, you will have to have them properly valved for your set up and what you are going to be doing with it. Suspension travel will also be a factor in how it performs at high speed off road.
