Anyone using PureOne oil filters?

I've been running the PureOne filters in my other vehicles for years. Just found that they have one for the pentastar, PL36135.

Only place to find it online is Advance Auto. I get all the others on amazon.

Anyway, they filter down to a lower micron level and are generally made a little better than the already decent purolator filters.

I've just used the mopar filters so far.

Been running them for the last couple years, but mine's on 07. I use the 3.7L Liberty filter though since it's about twice the size of the stock JK filter, makes me feel a little better about 6k+ change intervals using Mobil-1.

Sounds Like the earlier models are a canister filter. The 3.6 is just the paper element, like by bimmer.

Yeah i've tried several filter brands, never had any rubbing issues. I guess it is close to the crank pulley, but there is at least 1/4" - 1/2" of clearance.

Maybe they switched to a larger pulley after 07? Id test fit a cheapo before I went out and bought a bunch of them though.

Yes 3.8L is a canister filter.

so it's bigger in diameter? I run the 3.7 commander filter and it is just longer. There's plenty of room.

OP, sorry we derailed your 3.6 filter thread lol.

Not really in diameter, just length. I'm sure it's the same filter you run.
