Transfer Case Rebuild NVG 241-J

Well adding to my list of problems from an off balance drive shaft I noticed the other day when we were running it up on the rack the transfer case was making a loud whining noise that I never heard before. It worked great after the LS swap but yesterday I was trying it out and it was really hard to get into 4-low. Tried crawling along, neutral, park, backing up....you name it. It also developed a leak out the front seal going into the tranny.

I was thinking of getting a master overhaul kit but not sure which to get or if it's even worth doing. Can't find any others out there for under a $1000, except maybe boat anchors.

Are the 241 kits the same as the 241-J? I was looking at this:

http://www.jbconversions.com/products/np241/rebuild.php

Can't really afford an Atlas, although I'd like one, but my wife would kill me. Any other options out there? I did the Motech LS swap so I can't use a Rubi case. Could use a good manual as well.

Thanks,
Sean

Having a hard time finding any information or parts for an Np 241J, is it called something else? I think it's the same as the NVG 241J but all I seem to find is the D and C or the OR.......need help.

Thanks,
Sean

The tag on my rubicon says NP241J so any kit that has that description will work.
