UNICHIP ?????

Has anyone had any experience with this Chip,...I have one coming tis week. Where is our ECM located on our JK, and it is a plug & Play so I'm hoping it should be a breeze to install. Any info will be appreciated,....
Running 33's M/T's now and I need a little more A$$ up those long gradual inclines at 60 mph.....hoping this will give it to me & keep me in Overdrive..
The only engine upgrade is a K&N filter.

Hello Nam6869,

I don't have direct experience with this chip. I know that the next stage from HESCO and the supercharger also utilizes this chip. So I would guess that it is an alright performance enhancement. You will have to use premium fuel as the chip advances the timing some and premium fuel helps stop pre-detonation. I overheard a conversation about the chips the other weekend and to get maximum performance out of the chip you have to change out your injectors. At least for earlier Jeeps. I don't think this is required but is out there for max performance. I may be adding this chip from HESCO once they have a plug and play harness for it. But that is only a maybe for now and not based upon the chip or not.

The computers are located at the bottom of the center console rack and in front of your shifters.

If you are considering a super charger and this chip, you might want to give Bennie a call at HESCO to make sure the chip you buy today works with the super charger down the road.

Thx Michael, premium fuel i will use, & this the plug & play model so the install should be pretty easy. I'm really not considering a Super Charger so this might give me just that little amount of power I'm looking for. Someone else said the ECM location is under the hood on the Front Drivers side with 4 plugs(Auto) & this is where you piggyback this unit to with their harness.. I'll be looking after work. Hopefully it'll be here Wed. and I'll update this forum with my results. I'll go straight to the highway, we'll see if Overdrive holds up a slight grade.
