interesting kickstarter idea

hey, this is nothing to do with me, I just stumbled upon it. I think I'm going to get one, it might help the shorter members of the family
It's a portable step that attaches to the door latch, enabling you to reach the roof rack.

I donít really see it helping them get in, but it would definitely help them when installing the top rails and stuff like that. Cool idea, needs a different material for the back side to keep from scraping all of the stickers/paint off when used.

i can check with my cousin who actually designs stuff - for Mopar / Dodge / FCA - but as neat an idea as that appears, that bracket for the door latch might be an acceptable bottle opener but as for bearing the weight of a human , I can tell you that the sheetmetal itís three bolts are affixed to is NOT suitable for over maybe 70-80lbs .
Again, Iím not a designer but having owned many Jeeps upon which one or two had issues with that latch lock needing body fortification and rebuilding due to rust , I know thereís not much behind the two fold sheetmetal and if anyone but Karen Carpenter or a 5 year old put their weight on that , itís gonna distort and rip the latch off the metal.

Bad idea. Good creativity.

Same boat. That's not the smartest thing to do. I'd rather stand on the seat then put my weight on that latch post.

Bottle opener, that's what the wedding ring is for.
