New Rubicon Recon Edition

I've seen a whole bunch of articles on Jeep's release of the new Recon edition that make vague references to a beefed up front axle with stronger end forgings. Has anybody seen any info on what specifically is different on the axle?

Everything else seems pretty much a hard rock edition with different stickers.

The tubes are 1/16" thicker (same as the UD44 and HD housing). Larger and stronger inner Cs.

Jeep is smart. They know people will pay big bucks for these limited edition runs with only minor functional improvements. Great for their margin as these improvements add very little COG to the product.

The most interesting improvement here is the brakes, which appear to the the BR6 units.

Me? I am trying to explain to my very patient bride why I couldn't just buy some red paint in the shape of Jeep because that's about all we have left of the original.

:-)

Only took them 10 years to do something about the weak axle.
