Rock Krawler Suspension Trail Gunner System

I got a little sneak peak at the up and coming Trail Gunner system from Rock Krawler last night and thought I'd share...

It's a nice system. I've seen it first hand.

I'm very interested to see more on this... And the race runner. I have a 2 door JK and without a heavy spare or rear bumper, the ass end is pretty stiff. Are there options on the springs? I'd prefer the coilovers but do you have to run a wider than stock axle? I thought I read that somewhere.

You have to run wider than stock for the Rock Runner system but not this one

That's good to know. I'm swapping in a 44 front and I don't want to go wider yet.

The Trail Gunner System will be our only system offered running coil overs and bypasses up front that will fit on OEM track width axle. The soon to be released Rock Racer Systems will have specific axle requirements...

If anyone has any questions do not hesitate to give us a shout or talk to one of our dealers or wholesalers...

Why did you opt for rear coils vs the coil over setup? Currently running a RK 2.5 X Factor with 3.5 springs. Looking to do a Long Arm upgrade but unsure about going to Coil Overs. I have been very happy with my Mid Arm. Is the Long Arm a WOW upgrade?

RK touched on this in another thread..

Then you couple that with the possibilities of trailer loads and so on down the road and the possible coil over setups becomes endless.

However, a good coil spring and shock combination can do all of the above without a ton of compromises. We think people dramatically over value coil overs and undervalue good coils and shocks.

Doing coil overs up front makes a ton of sense. The tuning is easier, the variables are much less. It is much easier to make customers happy... At the end of the day, that is what it is all about.

These systems will also be able to be purchased ala carte so if you want to do a front coil over/bypass upgrade it will be available, etc. etc.
I am planning to go coil over in the rear of my rig as it becomes more and more of a trail rig... but this entire time I have been on coils in the rear and they have performed exceptionally with a lot less to figure out.

We can always help you with tuning the rear of your rig. Give us a call. When we send the kits out they are typically setup for full size spare, spare tire carrier etc... There is a spring difference between the two...

You have to run a wider axle on the Rock Racer Systems only. The Rock Runner and Trail Gunner Systems are designed around factory axles. Hope that helps.
