Power Tank: New JKU mounting bracket coming soon!

We are hard at work on a Power Tank bracket for 4 door Jeep Wranglers! The roll bar clamps work great with the hard top, but the soft top has been more of a challenge.

Here's some spy pics. Stay tuned for more!

Yes, that's a 15 pound Power Tank in the back of a JKU!

Oh I want to see it with the top completely down. I'm thinking so many other things that bracket could be used for. Hope your doing it for the other side also.

It looks like you could just swap the mounts and tank bracket to the other side so could be used on either side or both

Nice. Any plans for a 2 door bracket?

I originally was thinking the same thing, just didn't know if it would interfere with that sub-woofer over there, or if it would need a different cut and mounting angle.

That is a great bracket. I have been looking for a way to mount my 10lb tank under or in my Synergy Baja Basket in the JKUR. I think if I change the angle and mount valve to the rear, it may work....

Powertank - do you have any other solutions for the Baja Basket ?

I have the JBL Stealthbox in the back of my JKUR and I used this floor bracket to mount my Power Tank on top of the stealthbox. It may work with the Baja Basket.

That floor bracket was high on my list. I need to make measurements first. I am still consider getting it off the floor and into or onto the basket. Big problem is I havent decided which I want to to with.

Thanks for the response.

Just a guess, but you may be able to use the floor mount ON the basket.

just a design suggestion that i personally would like...

dont have sharp jagged edges. have the corners cut where they are rolled, not sharp 45 degrees like they are now.

im sure this is a prototype and not final production in the pic though... just a thought.

Missed that one. Sorry.

Not at this point. We'll have to see how this one does first.

At this point, we have the traditional roll bar clamps and bracket that we've been selling for years. I'll see if I can grab a buddy's 2 door and see how that may or may not work.

I know that we sold a 10# set up to a guy with a 2 door and he chose to use our Speed Bag and strap it to his cage in the back.

here's the Speed Bag: http://powertank.com/products/sfID1/17/productID/111

I hope that helps some.

PT - Thanks for all the info, and the new bracket shown looks promising.

Re my attempt to locate a 10# under or in a Synergy Baja Basket on my JKUR. Your floor plate idea could work, but in measuring and doing a dry fit, I dont like the tank so high IN the basket and with it under, getting to the valve and viewing the gauges is tough. I will continue looking for a mounting suggestion.

Is there an ETA on this mounting solution? Heck, even a rough estimate (Q2,Q3, etc) would be welcomed.
