Body Lifts, Post them pics UP.

OK, just bought a 2.5 bb and waiting for it to arrive (Thanks Shawn). And i was thinking ,why not do a body lift. Theres only one thing that makes me not like it and is the gaps (back and front). I know several people has it on their rigs. So please post pics and let me see hoe it looks. If you have pics of the front and back gap that will be awesome. Thanks

Yeah I'd be interested in seeing too I was debating on doing a 4" suspension or a 2.5 BB with a 3" body to save some $$$. Any way to close the front and back gaps? And grant those wheels are nice what are they

I can't remember... i think it was around $1000 for the wheels. I don't think there is a way to cover up the gap in the front. I've seen some guys cover up the rear gap, but it really doesn't bother me. I'm just going to leave it alone.

i'll have to look for pics. Not sure what the pic is going to prove to you...it's an inch, so its really not that much.

correction - i found this pic when i first got the jeep.

gotta love the chrome fuel door and the way i had the top folded back

That would be a huge mistake, 3" is too much, and you would end up spending more money in the long run. Why not just do it right the first time? What kind of set up, tire size wise, are you wanting to run.

2" isn't as bad so long as you have an automatic. It will give you fits with a manual.

Its automatic, what's bad with a 2" body lift? Besides the gaps nething wrong with it I was just having a cheap moment cuz I don't feel like saving up 2 grand for the TF 4" suspension

I have the 2" BDS BL. The lift went on nice with no issues. I didn't like the gap on the front so I bought a 2" piece of aluminum at home depot and fabbed a gap eliminator to hide the gap. This lift has a bumper bracket to hide the 2" gap in the back. Here's my photos:

If I can explain it, I cut the piece long enough to bend around the body mount on both sides. I cut a small backing plate to go on the opposite side of the body mount. Drilled two holes through the bent gap piece and the backing plate and mounted it using two small bolts on each side. I hope that makes sense. If not, let me know and I will try again.

Nothing bad on an auto, but it wreaks havoc with the shifter on the manual.

I've got a 1" body lift. I painted the gap in the rear black and it completely disappeared. On the front my winch hides any gap.
