Damn rain gutters

Who's bright idea was it to stop the front edge of the hardtop raingutter so that when you open the door all the water pours into the floorboard? Ugh!

Ya the rain gutters suck the big one!!!! I live in the mountains with lots of snow and all my parking is on a side hill. So my situation is even worse. When you open the door, you get all of it right in your lap/leg/crotch etc... I can see they did it so that you could still take the top off and still be able to drop the front window, but there has to be a smarter solution.

Ok, so it's not just me then.

It just seems that if the gutters are full they decide to dump when you open the door and when sitting level hits either the door sill or pours into the floor (or your lap).
