Cracked hardtop

Has anyone ever had their hardtop crack? I have an 08 2 door and was in the sand dunes when we got back I noticed the a crack coming from the top right corner of the rear window to the top corner of the hardtop. Took it to the dealer and they said they have never seen one crack before, they took pictures and said they have to get an ok to replace it.

Yep, mine is cracked in the same place.

I was thinking with the extra length on my 4 door that it may see more stress as the frame/body flexes, but since you have the same issue with a 2 door, maybe just poor quality fiberglass.

Interestingly enough, my hardtop has cracked in exactly the same place during EJS. Mine is being replaced at Tuttle Click in Irvine CA under warranty. Still a pain as I had my top painted silver...
