Goodbye "Rocky"...

My girlfriend/old lady/domestic partner if you want to get technical named him rocky February of 2009 when I bought him new. Sometimes things sell fast, much faster than expected as did ole rocky. We've beat te absolute crap out of him and most of the time, he's begged for more. Sometimes his axles cried and came to pieces but mostly he just kept on truckin down the trail. When I listed him for sale 4 days ago I never expected him to leave me today but as I told the old lady when one door closes another opens right? Truth be told I miss that pain in the ass axle snapping son of a bitch but really new memories are going to be made in the new jeep right? At least that what I keep telling her.. Maybe I screwed up, maybe I didn't but either way I no longer have my jk and have moved on to tons and no more pos 3.8.. Why am I typing this as I lay in bed with the ole lady? I dunno, but it's hard to put a price on your own blood and sweat but somehow we do it. He was however my first jeep and got the addiction started. Let's just hope I made the right decision. Anybody else in the same boat??? In closing here's Rocky as she calls him with his older replacement. This is the last picture I got and honestly the first time sense 2-09 he's been fully dressed with tops and doors etc..

Here's to new memories with new toys...

Taking the new guy out Sunday. Maybe then I'll feel better about selling the jk. Everybody always has seller remorse right?

Yea the first night I saw it I didn't sleep contemplating. Saturday I made the 6 hour drive and picked it up. It's nice but like all jeeps it needs some work to become mine! Hopefully beating on it a little Sunday will make it feel more like mine.

Mitch since this is a bit of a memorial I must say that I enjoyed getting to "know" you through helping you build out ole Rocky.

I will never forget the text messages from the weekend you were at Hidden Falls and am both regretful and thankful that I missed that trip. LOL!!!

I was very close to making the drive to scope this one out but couldn't bring myself to do it. I think you got a hell of a rig with a really cool back ground and some awesome wheeling ahead of you.

Congratulations on the new rig! I'll see you sometime soon! Hope this change raises your spirits and you feel better overall soon!

See you on the trail!

Marcus

If you go with the new jeep you will like the 3.6 power.
