Weird rattling/fluttering noise around 2500-3k RPM

anyone have this problem before? im trying to get a video that you can hear it. but it wont do it in first and mainly does it in 2nd and 3rd. like stated does it only around 2500-3k rpm and a rattling noise mainly sounds metal..

I've got this too. Can reproduce it each time right around 2800 rpms. Been searching with no real luck. I think I have noticed it around 5k rpms too but I don't get up there that much.

yea i tend to stay around 3k lol im thinking maybe some engine pinging may try higher octane gas see if that helps..

you might check the welds on the heat shield on the exhaust crossover. Our '09 developed a nasty rattle at 3000-3500 rpm and sounded like ball bearings in a metal coffee can..
it ended up being one of the welds on the heat shield... all I did was put a hose clamp on it and it's been fine since...

SOMEONE on here said that there's a shield around the EGR that gets loose and you can hose clamp it tight and it fixes it.

mine did it too. i never got around to finding it.

31 jeeps in... still have issues

mine had this exact same problem and it was my stock front drive shaft going bad...

sounded like a metal on metal rattle and it was the actual shaft seizing up.

It was the heat shield in the middle crossover pipe one weld broke fixed tht and no more rattle
