why is the MO-744 filter so expensive?

The cheapest I can get a MO-744 oil filter is about $6 on ebay ($10 at the dealer)
Why the heck is it so expensive? Metal bodied filters can be had for less!

Because its Mopar. I use the Puralator filters for way less with no issues over 70k miles.

Edit: Nevermind I just realized MO-744 is a paper filter

Hmmm, my other $6000 motors are doing fine with $2 screw-on filters.

Go to Discount Fleet Supply's website and order 5 or 6 of them. Problem solved. That's where I get mine.

I realize this is an old thread but I thought I would pass this along anyhow. I just bought 3 oil filters on eBay for $22 with free shipping.

Complaining about $10 filters? Really? Buy quality stuff. I bought oil and filters for both my vehicles 12 JKU and 01 Silverado 1500, and it cost me $250. Full synthetic everything.
