alternate tow hook use

Had a hitch installed and removed the rear tow hook.My question is:is there another possible use for the hook?Somewhere else to mount it?I figure with all the ingenuity on here someone may have come up with a use before.

paper weight
cat silencer
ball & back scratcher
door stop
wheel chuck

There's really not much way to relocate it anywhere that would be useful, due to the way that it is made to mount to the rear cross-member. I would just keep it in case you decide to re-sell your vehicle and/ or remove the hitch.

I've seen the tow hook mounted off to the left below the license area. Not sure how it mounts.

By the way, if the hook is off of an '09, I'll buy it off of you! Let me know- Mark W.

Hook is off an 08.I do appreciate the humor I thought of most of the uses mentioned and a few more.I think it's best value is as a paperweight.

There isn't a spot you can drill to mount it on one side or the other of the hitch? Or weld it for that matter...
