More Air Flow with Hard Top??

I know the easy answer is take it off. At the moment I don't have anywhere to store it safely. Plus jeep is way more secure with it on. Any solutions or way to crack open the rear hatch with out worrying about it breaking?

Have done a bunch of highway driving with the back window open. Seems to help with airflow/gas mileage when I'm doorless/topless (panels) and doing some highway driving.

Does this prematurely wear out the gas struts?

I think is you build a spacer and some sort of bungee cord you can open the rear hatch and not worry about it slamming shut and breaking.

I'd remove strut and install a solid spacer of some sort, just pop one end off and shut it when you need to. Just my opinion.
