Damn the rain!!

Finally got tired of my Jeep being dirty and decide to detail it in full today (first time since I bought it in October). I'm talking scrub the exterior as thoroughly as possible, including wheels/tires, inner fenders, anything I can reach on drivetrain, etc.

All but the driver side wheels/tires, inner fenders, and sliders finished… and it starts raining.

Hoping it'll let up and I can finish before I decide I don't care enough any more. Still need to clean the door jambs for the first time ever and vacuum the fuck out of the interior. Seems every time I reach under my seat for something I come out with sunflower seeds… from when a buddy exploded a bag of them all over the front of the interior two weeks after I bought the damn thing.

Is that guy incapable of picking them up himself? I mean, jacking up the interior of someone's brand new Jeep is a nono. Unless he's no longer capable of holding anything in his hands due to the neurological damage from the beating you put on him...

We picked up all that we could find by hand without actually pulling the seats, but apparently we missed a lot more than we thought. May pull the seats tomorrow to get some thorough vacuuming going on. It needs it big time.

Pulled all the carpet out of the Jeep, at BlackR6's advice. Problem is, I think I like it better this way, so the carpet will likely be getting relocated to my storage shed out back.

Of course, as expected, we found more sunflower seeds as the carpet came out.

got about 4 inches of rain in it a few weeks ago. that was the first good rain on this one with the top off. pulled the carpet and it hasnt gone back in since. I figure if it's out, every day i look at the bare floor is inspiration to bed line, which is now definitely on the short list.

carpet out is just way better. only real noticeable heat/noise difference is when the drain plugs are out. keep them in and i really can't tell a difference.

Life's hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
