Moving 2012 Unlimited Soundbar

With the soundbar on the 2011/12 has anyone:
- Moved it to the front?
- replaced it with a different soundbar that doesn't take up as much space?
- gotten rid of it and installed the speakers somewhere else?
With each of those what were the challenges to moving it or replacing it?

Thanks.

I'm thinking of doing this very soon. Did you end up pursuing it? I'm sick of that huge plastic monstrosity. If there were an aftermarket option to eliminate it and remount the speakers using less space I would've bought it long ago.

It is my next project. I did find a thread on one guys solution, which was to cut out the foam and zip tie it to the rear bar. I can't find it right now but if I do I will repost it.
