Funny.

I was already on E before I started. Notice how I was still getting 18 mpg at 120-130mph on a FLAT surface.

True, maybe it's me, I don't see this as any different than say, the "burn out" thread. Sure it's about a squirrel hating, squaids carrying, rodentphile....but outside his squirrel abuse and failure to follow the speed limit (I am NOT judging you on that, we all sin) what's the value/point?

Then again I am no mod, so carry on!

Glad to see she can go fast, but don't like the idea of you driving 120-130 at top speed in a not-so-agile/stable Jeep while distracted and videotaping your speedo.

Would've been safer to have a passenger video it from the side.

Cool to see how fast she can go at stock.

Actually the stock Goodyear Wranglers stick pretty well on the road. They perform a hell of alot better than the stock Bridgestone Duelers that came with the 07' JK. I wouldn't try any high speed racing at Laguna Seca but for a Jeep it's pretty agile.

It was very easy to hold my cell while I drove. Of course you're not going to get the smoothest ride in a Wrangler.

And?
Ours will do that if I raise the speed limiter.
And get tires rated for more than 99mph.

I think you were a long way from 120-130. Did you have a GPS or were you just guessing off the speedo?

By the speedo, it's more like 110-115 mph. But DAMN ... she's WAY faster than a 3.8'ed JK.

I pushed my 3.8'ed Rubicon up to 90mph. She couldn't take more. I always wondered why my canadian JK have a 125 mph speedo.

Gives a new meaning to "crawler". Cuz if you wreck at that speed you'll be lucky if you can still crawl.

To prove that the Wrangler is no longer your grandaddy's weekend crawler.

2009 6.4l Hemi Jeep Wrangler 0-60 - YouTube

This guy had a HEMI and was afraid to go much faster than 80mph. He was on empty too.

Ummm it's not like that was a big secret. Even with the 3.8 I could drive up to the rev limiter if I wanted to. We maintained 80mph no sweat all the way to Jeep Beach and back last year with KM2's. It was even easier cross country to NM with the SRA's bak in '07.

My 2010 Rubicon had less than 500 miles on it and it would not hit 100 mph in stock trim on a flat road. Now grant it I did not video it or have I tried it again. Jeeps are not fucking stable. My Z06, Porsche and Audi have all been stable at high speeds. Now the Jeep hardly ever sees 80 mph.

Not even going to argue with the ignorance you're spewing.

The evidence is as clear as video can demonstrate.

A person is not required to view through the device while he or she is filming, hence being distracted, with when using a cellphone. The cellphone does all the work itself--point and film.

My eyes stayed on the road 100% of the time while the camera phone filmed.

Tire size, tire pressure as well as the type of tire you run makes a tremendous difference at high speeds.
