Oil indicator reset question

Did my first oil change at 3K before the indicator showed for oil change. Should I reset the indicator even tho it didn't show for change? Or does the evic have preset mileage that I have to wait for to reset it? Probably a really stupid question...lmaoo

Reset each time you do an oil change so it will start the duty cycle algorithm again.
When/if it comes back on before you want to do the next oil change, reset it again.

I've always changed the oil on my schedule and never reset the puter. I've only had the "light" come on once, and that was about 100 miles after I installed a hemi So for about 28,000 miles my light was either broken or it somehow knew I changed it.

There is no way it would know you changed it. It must be broken.
