Most seem to. And for a short while that I had a hard top (Jeep are made to have a soft top) I had this issue but learned a few things from trial and error....

First of all, its important to keep the rubber gaskets clean. Dust can prevent them from creating a tight seal. Second. When tighting them, use the same basic star pattren to lock the dog latches and hand screws as you do when mounting a wheel on your rig. That little bit of info made my hard top leak go away. Good luck!

On my '08 I had a minor leak the first rain. I cleaned the seals with a damp rag and have not had an issue since. Was it dirty or just alignment, who knows.

not mine

BAM. Me, "wonder what that was?" Tom, "pretty sure it was the top of something coming into contact with the bottom of your Jeep."

Also a good idea after cleaning the rubber seals to hit them with Silicone.

I have an 08' Unlimited and actually had water inside my passenger side top. I removed the top, drained it, then put the top back on. I haven't had any problems since.

I had warranty left so I let dealership replace the door seals. I had standing water after removing my passenger carpets. This was with trektop or hardtop. I can find a drop or two now but not an inch of water in the floorboard. Probably gonna bedliner tub soon anyway

My hardtop will sometimes leak a little just above the rear view mirror. Doesn't leak while driving, but water seems to pool up in there somewhere and then first time I stop the water (think less than half an ounce) will pour onto my dash and radio. Now I keep a paper towel or two stuffed between the latch and roof and it catches any uninvited water. Need to clean my seals as we had the top off most of the summer, and judging by the looks of my interior, we drove some pretty dusty roads.

Rock Hard 4x4's crap roll cage pulled my side bars inward and hosed my tops formerly perfect alignment. The side bars have index holes that set the alignment and thus the sealing. They anchor on the windshield frame and can be moved via an adjustment screw, which is accessed through the upper hole on the "A" pillar trim cover. The other two bolts are the large ones on either side of the sunvisor mounts. With the tops installed and latched down loosen the front two bolts on each side and see if the tops settle into the seals. If the need to be pulled to the sides, tighten the bolts through the upper "A" pillar hole a bit. If they're too far to the sides, have someone push them in, or ratchet strap them a bit.

Rock Hard's overhead bar was too short and pulled my side bars in too far. I had to clearance the indexing hole on the driver side to get the top to seal.
