Need advice (Rear Drive Shaft)

Went wheelin' yesterday and did some damage to the rear drive shaft. It took quite a beating. I tried driving it on the road, it was shacking so bad at about 20 mph I had to stop. I am going to replace it and would like to what aftermarket replacement shafts are good. I have looked at Rugged Ridge and TeraFlex. The jeep is a 2008 JKU Rubi.

What makes Woods the best? Out of curiosity, as I know there are a lot of options available....

Woods has an excellent reputation. Google them. They are very well known and people love them.

I've had Tattons, and a few others over the years on my TJs. For the most part, any of the name brands are good quality. However, I really like the flange style that Woods has. My 09 JK had Tattons and I had a little vibration I had trouble tuning out. I can't blame it on the driveshaft, but no matter what adjustments I did to the arms I couldn't get rid of it. I will say though that the customer service was excellent from them. Either way, when I do the shafts on my '12, I'll be going back to Woods.

Tom Woods has been around making 4x4 shafts for many years and has become the gold standard for customer service. You just can't go wrong with his stuff.

Woods makes great stuff, no doubt.

I have sold hundreds of Tatton shafts this year and haven't had any problems that weren't quickly resolved. I've had him offer to rent a car for the buyer of a 1350 shaft that was the wrong length. Lol!

They go for $395 delivered and all we need to know is the lift you're running and some other small details.

Again, nothing wrong with Woods, I am a fan too. Just telling you that you've got options.

If you have any questions I'm happy to help!

Marcus

You can have one tomorrow if you buy local.

Saltlake should have plenty of shops.

Oh yeah if you're in UT you've got all of them right there. Tom Woods, Tatton, and Tera-Flex are within reach!

I couldn't see location from TapaTalk.

Ya, that would work, but I also crushed the steering stabilizer shock. Need to pick up a replacement for that also.
