Stupid question

Will the NSG370 (six speed) off a 2011 have any issues going into a 2007?

I don't see why it would be an issue.. I think you can even bolt it up to a late model year TJ.

Figured as much, I foound several off 2011's and think it will be cheaper to buy one from a junk yard than rebuild mine.

It won't stay in first gear...ever. The synchros are shot and I think the input bearing is toast.
