2011 soft top and snow

Has anyone had their 2011 in a decent snow storm yet? Wheeling today I had snow melting and coming through the top. It was collecting on the inside and dripping everywhere. I have had a bunch of jeeps and have never seen one do that before.

My top has never leaked. All I can say is make sure the top is installed properly.

My soft top was on all last winter in new jersey, no leaks or damage. I was impressed. Just don't let too much weight sit on it for extended periods of time and you should be alright

It didn't leak around the edges. It was coming through the fabric.

Damn, now i have seen a lot of different soft top leaks before, from various sources, ie, the doors, the plastic header, etc etc; put NEVER through the fabric itself. Thats a bit extreme. I would go to the dealer and tell em the deal!

and i thought my factory top sucked.

not that it'll help much at this point but i use camp dry on my tops to help repel water. your top looks like it should be replaced first, then camp dry

Wow, agreed theres no way that should be happening! Due to it's age I would go to the dealer as it's covered, otherwise I'd be finding a good water proofing spray or something to hit it with......

Ours too was on in Jersey since we've had it, 08, and we've had 0 issues with snow!

Is it possibly condensation and not leakage?

I had the exact problem with my 2011 soft top, so what I did was get that tent/boot waterproofing and used I think 2 cans of it to do the whole top and let it sit in my garage for a day with the heat on. But ever since I put that waterproofing on, it never leaked again like that. I still have the dumb leaks by the front door handles though. Maybe down the road invest in a hardtop for the winters and keep the soft top for summers, you could find a hardtop in the "For Sale" section usually pretty cheap. Hope this helps you out a little with the soft top leak. GOOD LUCK !!

I'll try the waterproofing and see what happens. I don't think a hardtop will fit over my cage.
