Dealer Activation Required

What the F does "Dealer activation required" mean?

Was fantasy shopping for a better front axle and saw this:

What does that mean?

Thats what I'm thinking. Likely a PCM/TCM updated needed for the locker.

You only need the dealer to reflash the ecu if you plan on installing the factory rubicon switch panel to use to activate the locker. I wired my rubi lockers to an aftermarket switch panel and can turn them on whenever the hell I want.

X2 they have to do it for any factory upgrades that your Jeep's computer isn't programed with in order to use factory switches for Lockers, Uconnect, etc. Unless you wire your own switches.

It definitely would. My budget was wiped out from my axle and tire upgrade so I went with a 12voltguy switch panel, and purchased a foctory rubicon wire harness and cut it up so it only had what i needed to hook up both lockers. Spent about a quarter of what and spod alone would cost on all that.

Really crappy cell phone pic but you get the idea:

My locker switches are the 2 on the right.
