Jeep Service contracts?

Thoughts?

I know some have had bad luck dealing with Jeep warranty for "modified" and " abused" equipment.

But I have also heard people where the LT contract saved their a$$!

Any real world experience both good and bad?

I've never believed in extended service contracts. But I tend to trade vehicles too much.

Are you talking about a service contract or an extended warranty? I generally don't get the extended but I usually negotiate the price of the service contract to a point where it is worth it just for the oil changes. I bought the service contract with my 2012 but only after they dropped the price and included the wheel and tire coverage.

OP, if you're talking about an extended warranty, pass on it. The fact that extended warranties are even offered is proof that, as a whole, people pay more for the warranty than they get back for repairs.

If it helps you sleep at night it might be worth it to you, but odds are it won't pay off in the long-run.

The service contracts are nice if you get a deal on them. I would not pay full price. It pays for all your oil changes and service as well as discounts on things at the dealership. Again you need to get it at a reduced price to make it worth it full price is ok if your the type to keep a vehicle forever.
Edit: It does not matter if your jeep is stock or not this has nothing to do with it.

Depends on what the extended warranty covers. If it mirrors the factory warranty and can be had for a good price than it's worth it. Most won't send an adjuster out so if your modded they won't even know. Dealer may only add charge if your aftermarket stuff is more difficult to remove than the factory stuff.
