Mopar's JK Trans Cooler Kit Available

Found a thread on this over on the Jeep Forum. Check out the PDF, expensive but looks like a nice kit.

Get that price down a bit and this would be well worth it for the fact that everything is jiffy-tite and very factory in appearance. I should really get one of those too, it's too hot here in AZ to run without one.

Looking closely at the instructions they retain the lower cooler, adding a new end cap & lines to the aux cooler. Neat & tight indeed.

How do you figure that?
The dealers I called are OK with a mopar cooler, especially if they install it, although they said that's not a deal breaker.

I doubt it. The local dealer told me Jeep's become very accommodating about trans coolers of late. As you'll see when you look at an auto '12, they all have a cooler similar to the one in the kit.

I believe this transmission cooler kit is the one that comes standard on European JK models. Even on the instructions the drawing of the Jeep has the European bumper,

I am honestly surprised there has not been a class action suit yet. If jeep felt the need to put these in every other market, why not here, especially with all the overheating issues.

In the U.S. market they have the highest risk of liability suit losses. But, the class action is just a matter of time. They should have fixed this back in '07 when the first hint of a problem popped up. The Hot Oil light fiasco just made their case shakier. Bad management & lawyering at the top level.

Thanks for posting the link SoK66!!! I just ordered one, should come in next week. Just to be on the safe side warranty-wise I will have the dealership install it when I go in for my free oil change!

(Not that my lift kit, 35's and other mods haven't already voided any and all warranties most likely, LOL!)

Not crazy about the price but I really do like the factory install look. Just might end up ordering it.

just enter the part# 82212486

Got to shop around boys. I don't buy shit from the dealer. Not a huge savings but enough to make it worth looking.

I have a jeep and it goes over shit.

I had mine installed for free when my tranny blew up. They said there is TSB about the over heating and that Asia will not import the Wrangler unless the coolers are installed. Don't ask me how they pulled it off but the dealer put a new on on for free of charge based upon that TSB.

Thats awesome that they installed it for free. Did they replace your transmission for free also? Do you happen to have that TSB #? That would be good info to share.
