Front locker advice

My front locker transformed into a ratching limited traction model. It engages but won't hold and looks more like a lock-rite ratching than a true locker.

Since it's not a serviceable unit, do I look for a used one or go ARB or something else. I REALLY don't want to spend any more than I have to so what are my best options? My wife is going to scream no matter what but at least it's my birthday this weekend so she'll have to at least be somewhat nice to me!

I'd try to find a pulled Rubi e-locker first. I've read threads where guys have replaced them with air lockers. I didn't know that they aren't servasable, that sucks.

My front locker had the same problem the dealer replaced it with a new one, but I still have the old unit just in case. A few month ago my rear locker stopped working completely the dealer is looking at it now. If I would have done this fix to my front one it would have fixed the problem, I think my rear one is something else.

If they let you keep your old one that's great although unusual. Check your connections on the rear plug before wasting any time pulling it apart. After having problems with my front, my rear quit working and got as far as pulling the cover before I realized the plug had just backed out enough to lose contact.

If the issue is simply the common lack of or weak engagement, try the fix in the following link before you buy another locker. Simple and effective, seems to work every time for these issues.

Given the cost of a complete replacement, the fact reapir parts aren't available for these simple lockers is an outrage.
